Looking at the different ways to take fabric to another level and Embroidery has been top of the list so far. A friend of mine has been looking for a Wedding outfit and our other friend who will be attending the same Wedding is getting hers made from scratch.
So we've been looking at lace trim, metallic trim. Chiffon, Crepe, Georgette and Velvet fabrics to create this 'masterpiece'. It's funny because the material on it's own seems so simple, not elegant nor rich hanging from her body though we know this is only temporary.

Seeing the different types of trim, threads, beads and embroidered pieces lay against the garment the possibilities are endless. I'm in awe of the dressmakers discipline when selecting what pieces he is going to add to create a work of art on these pieces of fabric.
Since the outfit is still under construction, I have downloaded some images of the dresses that are available to those of us who may find making a dress of such magnitude a great BIG head-ache!
